To Our Veterinary Clients and Pet Owners

It has been brought to our attention that misinformation about our company has been fabricated and circulated to the veterinary clinics that we serve. An individual has been telling clinic personnel that the owner of Dixie Memorial Pet Gardens, LLC has sold the company to a foreign company (in France).

We want to assure our community that this is a false rumor. We have absolutely no plans or agreements to sell or engage with any third party organizations. Dixie Memorial Pet Cemetery opened in 1992, and we changed our name/entity to Dixie Memorial Pet Gardens, LLC in 2006 with the expansion of our services. We take great pride in remaining an independent, locally owned, professional pet aftercare provider for the Mid-South community.

We look forward to continuing our trusted relationships with the veterinary professionals and pet owners in this community.

Please contact us at 901-873-4127 with any questions. We would also like to be notified with the date, time, location, and name of any person that may approach you with false information in the future.

Our History

Barbara Wells began Dixie Memorial Pet Gardens back in 1992 as a way to remember her cherished pet terrier, Dixie. Eventually, the small memorial grew into one of the largest and most beautiful pet cemeteries in the country. Today, Dixie Memorial Pet Gardens is a trusted choice for pet aftercare. We provide burial ceremonies, cremations, and any other services you need to remember your friend.

Barbara is past President of the International Association of Pet Cemeteries and Crematories. The organization is a non-profit group of pet cemeteries and crematories in the U.S. and abroad, establishing and upholding the highest standards of ethical operating practices in the pet aftercare industry.
